Janice Pariat

Janice Pariat is the author of Boats on Land, Seahorse, and The Nine Chambered Heart, bestsellers translated into ten languages. Her novel Everything the Light Touches (2022) was published by HarperCollins India, Borough Press UK, and HarperVia USA, featured in The New Yorker’s Best Books of 2022, and won multiple awards including the AutHer Award for Best Fiction and the Atta Galatta Bangalore Literature Festival Book Prize. She has received the Sahitya Akademi Young Writer Award and Crossword Book Award. Janice has been a Charles Wallace Fellow and Writer in Residence at TOJI Residency, and currently teaches Creative Writing and Art History at Ashoka University.
