Max Vadukul (b. 1961) is a British-Indian photographer celebrated for his dynamic black-and-white images that blend fashion, portraiture, and documentary styles. Born in Nairobi and raised in London, he has lived in Paris, New York, and now Milan. Vadukul’s career highlights include iconic fashion stories for Paris Vogue, a 41-year collaboration with designer Yohji Yamamoto, and his tenure as staff photographer at The New Yorker. Recent exhibitions include Through Her Eyes – Timeless Strength across Italy. In 2025, his ambitious project The Buddha Relic: The Return will debut in Bhutan at the Echoes Festival under royal patronage.
