Prof. Sanjeev Mehta is a senior economics professor at Royal Thimphu College with over 30 years of teaching experience. His research focuses on economic growth, development, globalization, regional integration, gender, and local governance in Bhutan. He authored The Dragon Economy: An Experiment with Happiness and has contributed to multiple books and research papers. Prof. Mehta played a key role in drafting Bhutan’s first economic development policy (2010) and has consulted for UNDP, World Bank, ADB, and others. He is a recipient of India’s Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award and Bhutan’s National Order of Merit (Silver Medal).
