Yangyel Lhaden

Yangyel  Lhaden is a journalist with Kuensel, where she has been reporting since 2020. She focuses on stories related to women and children, climate change, conservation, and underrepresented communities. A graduate of the Asian College of Journalism and Sherubtse College, she is a recipient of several national and regional journalism awards, including the South Asia Laadli Media Award and Bhutan’s Annual Journalism Award for Best Feature Story. Yangyel Lhaden has also reported from COP29 as a journalism fellow and received multiple grants to cover climate and conservation stories.
