Amanda Chong is a lawyer trained at Cambridge and Harvard, and a writer whose work explores themes of gender and power. Her poetry collection Professions was shortlisted for the Singapore Literature Prize in 2018, with her poems featured on the Marina Bay Helix Bridge and in the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus. Her plays include Psychobitch (Wild Rice, 2023), The Feelings Farm (Esplanade, 2021), and #WomenSupportingWomen (T:>Works, 2022). Amanda has served on the UN Expert Group on Trafficking and advised Singapore’s Youth Court. For her advocacy, she received the Commonwealth Points of Light Award from Her Majesty The Queen.
