Amrita Mahale is a writer and technologist from Mumbai. Her first novel, ‘Milk Teeth’, was shortlisted for the Crossword Book Award for Fiction and longlisted for the JCB Prize for Litera- ture and the Tata LitLive First Book Award. Her hugely-antic- ipated second novel, ‘Real Life’, is a multilayered and pow- erful story of female friendship, and was recently published by Penguin Random House. By day, Amrita works in the AI for social impact space, developing and implementing human-centered technolo- gies for public health. Amrita was trained as an aerospace engineer at IIT Bombay and Stanford University.
