Chime Paden Wangdi is the Secretary General and Senior Advisor to the Tarayana Foundation, where she transitioned from executive leadership in 2021. A storyteller and grassroots advocate, she amplifies voices from remote rural communities to influence policy and decision-making. She received the Tarayana President’s Award for “Service before Self” in 2018. Deeply committed to holistic rural development, she believes in the dignity and wisdom of local communities as custodians of their environments. She has been closely associated with Bhutan’s Festival of Literature and the Arts since its inception. Chime holds degrees from Cornell University and the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore.
