Mr. Damcho Rinzin studied Bachelor of Applied Management in Hospitality and Tourism from the University of New Brunswick, Canada. He was recognized with the Dasho Lhaderla Award by the university for academic excellence and admitted as a lifetime member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, Canada.

He started his career with the then Department of Tourism as a researcher and marketing officer in 2006. He takes pride and a keen interest in developing and promoting the unique ‘Brand Bhutan’, which he believes is key in promoting the ‘high value’ tourism policy of Bhutan.

He completed his double master’s degree from Australia in international tourism and business where he was awarded the Academic Excellence Medal by the university.

Damcho is an aspiring tourism professional, dedicated to contributing in strengthening the tourism sector in Bhutan in his own little ways. And he is happy to be given the opportunity to take part in every aspect of tourism development in Bhutan. He has presented and spoken in many national and international forums on marketing, tourism, and branding.

Currently, Damcho is honored to be given an opportunity to work at the Transformation Office under His Majesty’s Secretariat.
