High Commissioner Philip Green is a senior Australian diplomat with a distinguished career spanning four continents, having served as Ambassador or High Commissioner to Germany, Singapore, South Africa, and Kenya. He has played key roles in advancing Australia’s Indo-Pacific Strategy and policy on the Quad, and led landmark agreements such as the Australia-Germany Hydrogen Accord and the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Singapore. A former International Adviser and Chief of Staff to Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kevin Rudd, he also led the 2004 Review of Australian Intelligence Agencies. He holds degrees in Arts and Law from the University of Sydney and is a recipient of the Order of Australia Medal.
