Karma Toeb is a Specialist at the National Center for Hydrology & Meteorology. He has a Master of Science in Glaciology from Nagogya University. He has been working in various capacities as geologist and glaciologist since 1996- as a team leader in Thorthormi lake mitigation project, as Chief Glaciologist at the Glaciology Division and is currently heading the Cryosphere Service Division at the National Center for Hydrology & Meteorology.

Karma has published articles on glacier distribution in the Himalayas, glacier shrinkage, and glacier variation in the Bulletin of Glaciological Research (2003) and the Bhutan HydroMet Journal Vol. I and II. In 2021 he was the recipient of National Order of Merit (GOLD) from His Majesty the 5th King of Bhutan.
