Kimi Hnamte is from Mizoram, India and currently serves as an associate professor at the Royal Thimphu College. She is a part of the BA in English Studies Programme and is involved in teaching English literature. Kimi came to Bhutan 13 years ago to pursue her passion for teaching, and she finds immense joy in engaging with young minds both inside and outside the classroom. Her teaching interests encompass a diverse range of genres in literature, including drama, novels, short stories, poetry, and folklore. Kimi believes in the transformative power of literature, which has the ability to enlighten, challenge, and stimulate thoughtful discussions about society and humanity. She also enjoys singing, music and often collaborates with her students to perform for the RTC community.
