Phub Zam

Born in Chapcha, Bhutan, and educated at St. Joseph’s Convent in Kalimpong, India, Phub Zam is a pioneering business leader and bridge-builder. Since the 1980s, she has received multiple honors, including the BCCI Golden Chedeon Sengtoi Award (1984), and held leadership roles across sectors such as cement, petroleum, tourism, mining, and banking. She became the first woman President of both the Construction Association of Bhutan and the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Appointed Honorary Consul for Sweden in 2011, she was awarded the Royal Order of the Polar Star in 2019. She currently serves as President of the Yarkay Group.
