Yeshey Choden is a satellite engineer by profession and STEM advocate by passion. Technically, she is involved in satellite development and remote sensing image processing. In addition, she plans activities for space promotion and STEM education to inspire the youth of Bhutan. In 2022, she co-founded the Women in STEM group to promote and empower girls and women in STEM. She also formed the Thimphu Robotics Club to engage interested youth in exploring and learning about robotics. Yeshey has a masters degree in space engineering from Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan. Embrace, Yeshey’s first book which is a collection of poetry, was published in 2022. In 2023, she published her second book called Rimela, the Last Star. It is a fictional children’s book inspired by the stars.
